World-renowned for its beautiful Ancient Town – a UNESCO heritage site, Hoi An is home to mouthwatering food, picturesque canals and, of course, countless lanterns.
In June, Hoi An enjoys its dry season (March – September) and offers comfortable, warm weather before temperatures soar later in the year. Cooler evenings and low chances of rain mean that exploring the streets is a pleasant affair.
As the sun goes down, lanterns across Hoi An bathe the town in a soft colourful glow – the perfect backdrop to dinner by the river.
Every month, to coincide with the lunar calendar, Hoi An holds a special Lantern Festival. A magical evening which sees the traffic fall silent and the river fill with floating lights.
This month the Lantern Festival falls on 16th June.
