The high tea menu celebrates the artistry of Lim Tze Peng through imaginative dishes inspired by his iconic works. Savour the smoked salmon blinis, featuring the calligraphy character “家” (home), symbolising warmth and family. The Boston lobster popiah elevates a beloved local dish with luxurious lobster and bright pickled carrots, while the poached chicken with puffed rice reinterprets Hainanese chicken rice with a modern twist.
Nostalgia meets innovation with creations like the sampan, evoking Lim Tze Peng’s Singapore River paintings, and Harmony, a delicately crafted dish inspired by his artwork 家和万事兴 (harmony in the home leads to prosperity), symbolising unity and familial peace. The menu also highlights the pomelo delight, celebrating good fortune and happiness with a creative nod to Lim’s Chinatown-inspired works.
The beverages are just as inspired, blending art with flavour. A life of art, a tropical cocktail featuring coconut and pandan rum and banana liqueur, celebrates the vibrant energy of Lim Tze Peng’s legacy. For a refreshing non-alcoholic option, the Singapore River mocktail combines cucumber, mint, and lemon with an edible blue paint detail that evokes the flowing ripples of the river, paying homage to his iconic depictions of Singapore’s waterways.
